MKU

I joined MSc Computer Science (1993-1995), in Department of Computer Science, MKU, a feeder course for recruiting scinetists in Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
I remember Dr. G. Arumugam (Head), Mr. A. Meshach Ponraj, Mr. Thangaraj and Mr. A. Rajmohan having taught us the subject.

Short Stay at SV College Madurai

After completing BSc from ANJAC, I was trying for MSc (Computer Science) in MKU, Madurai and MSc (Material Science) from PSG, Coimbatore. Though I was confident of getting a seat in these places, I joined MSc Physics at SV College, Madurai. I also applied for MSc in VHNSN College, Virudhunagar and got a seat also (before that I had joined SVC as it was near University).
I had a very good friend by name Jeyaram from Theni District. He has once visited my home also. We had very good time (nights). Later I joined MKU. I was in SVC for just three months. Even after joining MKU, I used to visit SVC and stay in hostel with my friend.

ANJAC Life

I did my BSc Physics at ANJAC (1990-93). ANJAC is known for its strictness and discipline (sometimes other college students used to say we are continuing in school). However it helped me to face any tough situation in life. Physics department was quite liberal compared to others. We were five students from SBK School, Aruppukottai (myself, Mathi, Nithi, Selvaraj and Balan). We shared the top 5 ranks among ourself. Initially food (was having good quality) was a problem (my taste was different), latter it became alright. Then myself, Arul, Makka (Balamurugan), and Venkatesan became close friends. Thank God still we are in contact. Arul is in IT Industry, Chennai, Makka in Kovilpattin doing business, Venkat in Virudhunagar (textile mill management). Nagaraj (Elco Systems) and Sowri from places around Sivakasi also become close friends. Nagaraj is into Electronics business and Sowri is in IT industry.

I learned Physics with much interest and our lecturers were very good. I remember our department lecturers Dr. Chandra Mohan (Then HOD), Mr. Velusamy, Mr. P. Rajaguru, Mr. M. Alagar, Mr. Kalai Arasu, and Mr. Arivukarasan. I learned to use library effectively.

I am from Aruppukottai a town in south of Tamilnadu near Madurai on NH 45B. I had my schooling at S.B.K. Hr. Sec. School, Aruppukottai. I did my B.Sc. (Physics) from Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College Sivakasi (ANJAC) and M.Sc. (Computer Science) from Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU). Currently I am working in Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC).
